Image Northwest Photo Tours by Bruce Sanford - Workshops and Tours - Western North America - Olympia, WA

Tours given by many other companies have 10 to 20 individuals, but that is too many to provide individual attention and getting the best out of your experience. I keep them small, a maximum of six individuals, so that I can provide as much attention to each photographer as possible. For overnight tours, I give evening workshops and critiques. I can t guarantee that you will get award-winning shots, but I can put you in the time and place that will offer the most potential, and with my help, you might just get that shot of a lifetime. Each tour will be filled on a first-come first-serve basis. To secure a place, you must provide the non-refundable deposit. Bruce Sanford is based out of Olympia, Washington. He shoots both landscapes and wildlife with a passion in both. His work has received numerous awards including four consecutive years in winning the Best of Show in the professional category at Ocean Shores photographic competition, as well as receiving other Best of Show and People s Choice awards in other juried photo exhibits. He has also published photographs and articles in various magazines including Birder s World, Bird Watcher s Digest, Oregon Coast, Northwest Travel just to name a few. He is always seeking out that perfect image, but if not a perfect, at least an exceptional moment, a slice of time and place, a unique image that will not be repeated. For those who view his work, he hopes to invoke a sense of pride in our planet, to promote the concept of nurturing rather than exploitation, to pass along the notion that Earth itself is unique, and it also will not be repeated. Most of his wanderings are in the Pacific Northwest, seeking out landscapes, seascapes and wildlife, including a blend of the human and natural elements. He does a lot of hiking and backpacking in search of lesser-known locations, trying to find images that are not so photographed, and attempting to avoid the traditional or postcard scene. ADVENTURE PHOTO EXPEDITIONS is a service offered by Carole Devillers, a photojournalist with 30 years experience in the field and represented in the book Women Photographers at National Geographic . As a ten-year correspondent for Reuters News Pictures in Haiti, from 1990 to 2000, she covered the political unrest and street battles in Port-au-Prince, during which she was shot at, held at gunpoint and had film confiscated. Attracted by the American Southwest, Carole moved to New Mexico in 2000. She is currently represented by the August Fine Photography Gallery in Santa Fe NM, Art-is-OK Gallery in Albuquerque and the Johnsons Gallery in Madrid NM. She is also a member of the Digital Fine Art Society of New Mexico DFAS-NM .. She is the recipient of several awards from Expo New Mexico, the Hubbard Museum of the American West, the DFAS-NM, and the B&W Spider Awards.
