Fotoprojekt „Via Lucis 1989–2009 – 20 Jahre tschechische Gesellschaft im Bild
Einladung zur Teilnahme am Fotoprojekt „Via Lucis 1989–2009 – 20 Jahre tschechische Gesellschaft im Bild" Sehr geehrte FotografInnen, gestatten Sie uns, Ihnen das oben genannte Projekt vorzustellen: Der wichtigste Teil des Projekts ist ein Fotowettbewerb, dessen Ziel es ist, Fotografien zu sammeln, die ein faktisches Mosaik sowie ein Gefühlsmosaik der tschechischen Gesellschaft in den Jahren 1989–2009 und eine breite Reflexion dieser Zeit darstellen. Der Wettbewerb ist allen Personen ohne Altersunterschied und ungeachtet der Staatsangehörigkeit, sowohl den Amateur- als auch den ProfifotografInnen offen. Themen, zu denen wir Sie einladen einzureichen: Spiegelbild der tschechischen Gesellschaft von 1989 bis 2009: Revolutionsjahr 1989 Westlicher Lebensstil (Urlaub am Meer, Freizeit, neue Unterhaltungsformen, Werbung, politische Meetings, Globalisierung, Einkaufen) Wirtschaftsentwicklung (Kuponprivatisierung, Untergang der Fabriken, Änderungen auf dem Lande usw.) Neue Familie (Rollenänderung der Familienmitglieder, Erziehung der Kinder) Leben eines Politikers/einer Politikerin Soziale Dienste (Stiftungen usw.) Europäisches Parlament Als Fotogenres werden Reportage- und Dokumentarfotografie erwartet. Termin für die Abgabe der Fotografien für den 1. Teil des Fotowettbewerbes ist der 31. 3. 2008. Wir würden uns freuen, wenn Sie an diesem Wettbewerb teilnehmen und auch Ihre Kollegen und Freunde davon informieren würden.

Ross Mitchell is an award winning photographer based in Scotland. The work of Ross Mitchell has developed through many different phases but it must be said that it can always characterised by a thoroughly evocative subject matter strongly emphasising the atmosphere surrounding people and place. A cursory glance at the desolate settings of some of Ross Mitchell s photographs would suggest that his interest lies in the depiction of scenes of emptiness. However, whether focusing his attention on urban landscape, or addressing specific overlooked interiors or locations, it is the trace of human presence that is frequently at the heart of his photographic practice. gran pictures he creates an atmosphere that is both public and private, suggestive of a deeper story beyond the simple composition. Ross Mitchell obtained Honours with First Class at Heriot-Watt University Edinburgh College of Art in 2003, and was awarded first place and overall winner of the Fuji-Film Student Awards 2003. Today Ross is a full-time photographer with growing confidence in his own direction and revival.
