Many of the dogs presented within my portfolio are their long term residents and by using them for my body of work, I provide them fresh new photographs to help with their adoption process. I find so much satisfaction in my work and knowing that it helps the animals in need really makes my work a labor of love. While working with predominately untrained animals can present a whole series of challenges, I always spend time visualizing my goal for the session prior to picking up my model from the shelter. In doing so, I find that I have been able to build a more cohesive portfolio and I always end my session confident that I have a series of photographs that I am happy with. As I continue to learn more about the art and craft of photography, my excitement continues to grow. While my inner creative might have once been unknown to me, now that I ve discovered it, I plan to continually explore it and in doing so, I hope to enjoy a long and successful career in photography.

Amada s images grace greeting cards, posters, calendars and books. She travels the country extensively, photographing dogs, cats, and the occasional horse. Amanda Jones, Inc. is headquartered on the campus of the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art in North Adams, Massachusetts. We have a beautiful 1800 square foot space in a building that used to house one of the area s largest employers Sprague Electric. The factory closed down in 1985 and sat idle for many years. In 1998, the 13 acre compound was transformed into one of the largest museums of Contemporary Art in the world. Our studio team consists of Amanda, her husband, Chris as well as our studio manager, Christine Enderle and her dog, Savannah.
