In the photographic world, they say never work with children or animals. I disagree; I love it! I have great fun photographing animals, for both my books and advertising agencies. I think it stems back to my countryboy upbringing; animals have always been a part of my life, so why not in work. You don t necessarily have to work with exotics like elephants or eagles, working as well as living with Rosie the pig was a memorable experience! When working with any animals, but especially endangered species, I choose to work closely with established and ethical people who are recognised as upholding the highest standards in animal welfare. This is crucial to my work and I would encourage other photographers and film makers working with animals to carefully vet all credentials.
