Action Photos Indy, based in central Indiana, was founded in 2003 by Kirk Wolff and Chris Williams near the beginning of the digital single lens reflex camera era. Although initially using a 10 x 10 Easy-up tent and displaying thumbnail images to our customers on contact sheets, the mission of Action Photos Indy remains the same: to capture and produce the highest quality action photos of young athletes and performers. Today, we use the Canon 1D Mark II and Mark III series bodies and long, fast, professional prime lenses to capture the action. The images are then downloaded in our 26 foot mobile photo lab and displayed on 18 flat screen monitors just as soon as possible at the event. We use professional Sony dye-sublimation printers to produce images up to 8x10 at the event. The 16 x 20 and 24 x 36 customized large photos are printed after the event and shipped to our customers. We have a long list of satisfied customers and have been doing most of our events for several years.

I established this site for several purposes. First, I wanted to create a venue through which promising models in the Midwest could be seen. Second, I wanted a place to offer for sale limited edition fine art prints. With the collaboration of a group of truly outstanding models, I created all the images on this site. They represent, I belive, great examples of the confluence of two art forms, photography and physical development. They are about what happens when great models and great photography come together. The subjects of our photos are individuals who are seriously committed to fitness through training, diet and life style. Many are competitive bodybuilders and other athletes. Some of these images are subsequently digitally enhanced to create aesthetic effects. We also do portfolio development work for aspiring models.
