Paul Kozal - Fine art black and white landscape photography - Gualala, California USA
Paul Kozal is a fine art black and white landscape photographer specializing in images of California and the Southwest ..... Paul Kozal moved from Chicago to San Francisco in 1996, but his admiration of the western landscape dates back to his first road trip in 1989. Up to that time, he had done little in the way of landscape photography. After 1989, however, Kozal, a self-taught photographer, was inspired to travel west as often as possible, taking trips that often lasted up to six months. During these trips, he amassed a large number of studies, often of the same dunes and buildings, photographed each year in an effort to capture the constantly shifting values of light.

Jason Weston Fine Art Photography - Aptos, California USA
... As humans we live in bodies that interface with the world and with each other. Pragmatically, a positive body image vitally supports healthy sexuality, which is an integral aspect of our wholeness. I believe that healing our cultural rift between sexuality and spirituality is an important link in healing humanity’s relationship with the natural world. My photographs are an invitation to inquire about the connections between body image, sexuality, spirituality, and humanity’s relationship with nature. --- Each photograph is a silver gelatin print on double-weight fiber paper, meticulously hand printed by the artist. Finished prints are subtly selenium toned and archivally washed to assure maximum longevity. All prints are mounted on museum-quality 100% acid free mounting stock. Prints vary in size, from approximately 4x5 to 16x20. Not all subjects are available in all sizes, as the artist feels that some subjects work better small while others work better large. Each print in our catalog indicates the sizes it is available, and its price.

Robyn Darwin :: BOXSTONE Photography - Oakland, CA
Photo gallery of professional photographer and historical image scholar Robyn I Darwin. Robyn Darwin s 25-year photographic journey is an exploration of worlds both familiar and remote, internal and external. Of equal significance and mystery, are the liminal spaces she encounters on this path. The southern California beach kid dreams of lands beyond her edge of the Pacific Ocean and, for a few years, she lives on Guam and Oahu. While at UC Berkeley, the need to understand the context in which she paints, compels her to develop a second major in art history. Studies, at least in part, touch on what it means to be human: the unquenchable desire to create visual expressions of our existence. After graduation, nearly two decades in corporate Community Relations open doors to contemporary cultures and issues in unexpected ways. Always time and place are woven together by an overriding passion for photography. Knowledge of the art is expanded through work with photographers such as Judy Dater and Michelle Vignes. In the end, this San Francisco Bay Area photographer believes her inspiration comes from the people with whom she interacts. Her photographs are intimate moments, touchstones of memory. They are continually evolving riffs on the human condition, past and present.
