I will always remember my mother sitting in front of an easel painting landscapes; she conserved in her memory. She was used to paint those long and very hot summer afternoons while I got intoxicated of the smell and the colours of the paint That was without doubt my first contact with the art. I photography cities and I prefer them in black and white because I believe it gives photos the best poetic part. Colours are interesting but it looks to real to me... Casablanca wouldn t be the myth if it had been rolled in colours. I improved my work as a photographer and an illustrator in the publishing and advertising sector as a freelance for advertisements companies and important companies as: BAYER, OUTILS WOLF, SEAT, REPLAY, DIESEL, LACOSTE, PEPE JEANS...and also for the most important fashion company of the world EDICIONES COND NAST. At the moment my illustrations are more commercial like licences of art for following companies: AIR-VAL, ENRI, JOSMAN, FLAMAGAS, ECHO, JUAN FERRER PRAT, T XTIL TARRAG , DUNOON MUGS, GRUPO ERIK, PANTHER SCANDECOR FRANCE On the other hand the reproduction of my photographic work is commercializing anywhere in the world by companies leaders in the sector, such as: SCANDECOR MARKETING, ROSENSTIEL S, UNIVERSAL PRINTS, WINN DEVON, WENTLEY, MAMAGRAF, HENZO, IKEA.... To the margin of this line of sale, my passion for the photography makes that once in a while, if the time allows it ,I can organize exhibitions so I can stay in direct contact with the people who appreciate my work. Even so, I want to give a special push to my signed work for that reason I have decided to put on sale a part of it thanks to this web that I hope you will enjoy.

Black and white photography portfolio - Ramon Roca-Sastre

Currently, he works with a 35mm negative and a 6 x 4.5 cm size, mostly in B W print film and silver gelatin paper. He doesn t plan to use digital photography, since the quality and feel that silver prints give are not by far reached by digital prints.

JESUS COLL Fine Art Photography

Fine B&W works on the landscape natural enviroments portraits and erotic photography made in large format. Jes s Coll was born in a medium size city, close to Barcelona on the north eastern region of Spain: Catalonia. At the early age of twelve he became aquinted to photography by his father with his old bellows camera. He soon became interested in that little box and started developing his negatives and printing by his own. The steps followed since then by him are many and varied. He has won several prices, among wich are the Golden Medal FIAP in 1988, the PHOTO magazine price in 1980 as well as the Diapogalicia in 1989 or the Mostra Audiovisual of Barcelona as a multimedia slide show. He has displayed his work in colective shows as well as in individual ones. Most of his knowledgments are self taught through books and mags. In 1985 he visits The Ansel Adams Gallery in Yosemite, California and he is very impressed. Then, he re-discoveres the fine B&W that he had never the oportunity to see before. Now, he alterns his personal work along with stock color photography represented worldwide by smallStock, alamy.com and agefotostock as well as assignements on travel, fashion and commercial photography in the company of his own: Gr ficArt. He also gets a living as graphic and WEB designer. He has lead several workshops, given speaches and written about the Ansel Adams Zone System. He also has taught Fine B&W Printing in the Politechnical University of Catalonia.
