Welcome to Oman Fotoland. A site dedicated to display the beauty of an unknown region in the arabian peninsula. Oman, with its renowned history is ironically little known to the outside world. Tourism has recently been given its credit in this country, and this site through its photograhpers tries to demonstrate the nature. and the landscape of this country. Oman and Portugal have a long history, Portugese would never had made it if it was not the Omani sailers that showed the route to India. Oman went under Portuguese occupation for around a century. As I work and live in Portugal, so part of this site is also dedicated to Portugal, and unveils the treasure of what this country has nature, and landscape , and what type of photo opportunities it offers. assoinate about Photography, I started to click in 1981 when I was studying in Egypt at American University in Cairo. My passion and love to this hobby grew with years. Today I work as a freelancer, and stock photographer, although by profession I am a telecom engineer. My kit is mainly Nikon as my first camera was Nikon F3HP which I still adore and keep in my collections. Recently I worked as an official photographer for miss portugal contest for the year 2003, and 2004; with onlineisland company, now named miss Lusitania. I live between Oman and Portugal, and that is reflected in my work, and presented in the galleries on this site.

Just like when he found his father s old Kodak Pony camera along with his slides from the Korean War. Or when he was exploring the junk in his grandmother s basement and found an old box of National Geographic magazines. He remembers discovering in back of the magazines the short articles about the photographers who shot the pictures. So, just like his dad and these National Geographic photographers, he too wanted to travel to far away places and shoot some pictures. He wanted to have to have his own adventure.
