My work as an independent travel photographer and travel writer takes me abroad about six months a year. I get to see a lot of places that most people can only dream of. But strange as it may sound, that s not what I focus on in my work. Why? Because everybody knows The Great Wall is great and the Grand Canyon is grand. No point in repeating that. To me it s the little things that make the most interesting stories - and the best images. I go into a little store just to get some shaving cream and I walk out with the complete life story of the woman who owns the store. I ask a cab driver to break a ten dollar note and a few hours later we both tumble out of a bar. That s travelling. That s what I do. And that s what I want to show in my work! My work is published in national Dutch and international newspapers and magazines

Heel vaak krijg ik vragen over de aanschaf van een digitale camera, het bewerken van foto s enzovoorts. Hierdoor heb ik besloten een website te gaan maken over digitale fotografie! De meeste informatie, vooral voor wat betreft de compositie en het fotograferen op reis, is eigenlijk uit ervaring, het volgen van enkele cursussen en het lezen van boeken voortgekomen. Het is slechts een leidraad die je misschien op idee n brengt. Door de jaren heen heb ik een aantal cursussen gedaan en daar veel van geleerd. Nog leer ik steeds bij door actief te zijn op diverse fotosites. Aan het commentaar en de tips van de andere gebruikers heb ik heel veel gehad en door hun foto s ben ik ook op idee n gebracht. Ik hoop dat deze website informatief is en als je vragen of opmerkingen hebt, mailen mag altijd! Op de pagina contact vind je een mailformulier. In ieder geval heb ik er erg veel plezier aan beleefd om deze website in elkaar te zetten. De tekst zal, waar nodig, regelmatig aangepast worden. Ook hoop ik de fotoalbums regelmatig aan te vullen en of te wijzigen. Hopelijk beleef je net zoveel plezier aan deze website als ik gehad heb bij het maken ervan. De digitale fotografie is inmiddels voor mij meer dan een hobby, het is bijna een passie geworden! Overigens beschouw ik mezelf absoluut nog als een amateur! Experimenteer, daar is de digitale fotografie ideaal voor!
