Louisa was raised in Nairobi, Kenya. From an early age she explored remote parts of the country, flying along side her father in his light aircraft. Growing up in such rich cultural surroundings imprinted in her a great respect for the people she encountered and inspired a deep appreciation of the beauty of nature. Striking and often raw, rugged landscapes filled with intense colour mapped the start of my love affair with images. Since I was a child the elegant tribal people who survive on the land always filled me with admiration, an admiration that compelled me to photograph their amazing form. I felt a great need to capture the essence of these majestic people before Western influences eroded away a pureness in their lives and culture. This led to my collection of African travel photographs, which are a mix of landscape and portraiture with a Fine Art twist. Louisa studied Fine Art at Rhodes University, South Africa, majoring in Photography. It was here, with her faithful Nikon FM2, that she explored further her passion for photography. While studying at Rhodes, Louisa was involved in University Exhibitions and won numerous photographic competitions in the national publication Student Life magazine. Hayley Anderson is a Photojournalist Travel Photographer based in Sydney Australia. Her main interest is travel photography, with her lifelong passion for new places and experiences preceding her career as a photographer. Hayley started taking photography seriously several years ago when she was thrust into the tour leader s position on a working trip in Yemen. The leader fell off a vehicle leaving Hayley with a group of 10 people, 2 Libyan drivers and an old SLR Pentax camera. Hayley also worked in New Zealand, South Africa, Libya, Tunisia, Morocco, Andorra, France, Greece, Turkey and the UK before settling in Australia. Countries travelled Hayley has been to a total of 84 countries exploring the continents of Africa extensively , Europe, North America, most of Asia, as well as several Pacific Islands and the Antipodes. In November 03, Hayley returned to Sydney after 4 months travelling around Canada and Guatemala Honduras. More recently she spent a month in Outer Mongolia and this year, has just returned from a trip to Aftica and a month in Madagascar. Hayley has had two exhibitions of her travel photographs one Travellers Tales with Mayu Kanamori and the other Faces and Places with Alice Anne Sweeney. She has also had an exhibition of her disability photos at the Heritage Centre in Parramatta.
