Featured Article: Trash The Dress (TTD)
Brides and grooms want awesome imagery from their wedding, period. They want the unscripted moments captured, but they also want a photographer that can get very creative during a portrait session. That’s why couples everywhere are donning their wedding finery and not only descending into caves, but plunging into breakers, walking through abandoned amusement parks, wandering through cornfields, wading into forest streams and chasing other wild pursuits in an increasingly popular ritual and edgy extension of wedding photojournalism called Trash the Dress (TTD).

Simplify Your Approach To Lighting And Learn To Produce More Appealing Portraits
Photographers often spend tens of thousands of dollars on the latest lights, light modifiers, and lighting gadgets. As Bill hurter shows in this book, however, they may be headed down a costly road to nowhere. Instead of complexity, he suggests, photographers should seek simplicity. This creates a look more "true" to portrait viewers and has come to be preferred over the more contrived looks that were popular in previous decades. Packed with incredible images from top photographers, this book is a critical resource for professional photographers (and aspiring professionals who want to create more natural portraits and get fewer headaches doing so. SHANNON NETH PHOTOGRAPHY CINCINNATI CHILD PHOTOGRAPHER CINCINNATI
Professional photographer Shannon Neth in an on location photographer serving the Greater Cincinnati Northern Kentucky Dayton Columbus area. She specializes in newborn baby child and family portraits. Where is the pause or rewind button? This question takes on a whole new meaning when you become a parent and your children seemingly grow up in fast forward before your very eyes. My awareness of just how fleeting these moments are led me to my passion: photography. I adore capturing a single moment in time, ranging from a peacefully sleeping newborn, to those first wobbly steps, to riding a bike with only two wheels. Photographs ensure that those blink-and-they re-gone moments may have passed but are never forgotten. Photography is my own personal pause button. This is what I love capturing for your family as well: those little moments of time translated into a piece of art that will grace your walls for years to come. I encourage children to have fun, let loose, and be kids during their session! This thoughtful approach of documenting emotions with style allows me to capture who your children are and the result is something far more special than a mere picture of what your child looks like.

Cincinnati based happygirlphotography
Alison Connor is a contemporary portrait and commercial photographer serving the greater Cincinnati and Dayton OH areas as well as Louisville and Lexington KY. She specializes in child, family and senior photography. I like to keep it fresh, fun and genuine. I feel that every child is naturally photogenic, the secret is to catch them when they think you are not looking. Cherish the photos of your children being just who they are, whether that is silly and funny, shy and innocent, or somewhere inbetween. I want to tell the story of your child in this small period of time... so when they ask, What was I like when I was younger? You can say, Just like this...

Sessions can take place at a location of your choice, such as your home, local park, downtown location, or anyplace that may be special to you I will take as long as necessary to capture your images, but it usually takes 1 to 2 hours. I like to schedule them 2 hours before sunset, as this time provides the best light My style is very laid back and casual. I won t put a lot of pressure on you to perform. I just want you to be you! Please just relax and be yourself, this is supposed to be fun! We can arrange for a pre-session meeting to go over all the details of location, clothing, props, etc. As far as clothing is concerned, keep it simple and classic. Solid color tops with jeans or khakis work best. Stay away from busy patterns and logos. Little girls look cute in simple dresses and little boys look cute in jean overalls. I love barefeet and accesories such as hats, scarves, flowers, teddy bears or dolls and the like. Families should dress in coordinating colors. You may bring as many clothing changes as you like but remember that this eats up the time we have and a lot of changes may upset some children. I can help with clothing selection if you like. Mostly I will just follow your children around and capature them being themselves. I will try to connect with them so they will feel comfortable with me. I will do some directing but will not push them. You may bring any special toys or lovies that make them feel secure. They should be fed and well rested before their session. We can take as many breaks as needed for potty, snacks, or rest. As an animal lover, I know that pets are a part of the family. You are welcome to include your pet in your family portrait or your child with their best friend . I also do individual pet portraits. Please have your pet well-groomed and check that their eye area is clean before the session. I will need your assistance in handling your pet. Proofs will be available 7 to 10 days after your session in an online gallery. I will...
