Parlez-moi du Bel Air.

This poster introduces the exhition that will take place from next wednesday to August 8th in St Germain en laye ( parisian suburbs). It is what I have been working on for the last months in a project in St germain. I have been invited to work there by the Social center "La Soucoupe" to produce a black and white series about the area after meeting up with some inhabitants, hearing their stories and walking around the neighbourhood with them. It was very interesting for me to meet so many different people and points of view, trying to capture feelings, atmospheres and moments.If you are around, feel free to come and visit the area where you will find the 50 pictures posted in different places ( halls, shops, station etc..).

Voici l'affiche de l 'exposition "parlez moi du Bel Air" qui aura lieu du 30 juin au 8 aout. Les photos seront affichées dans ce quartier de Saint Germain en Laye dans divers endroits (halls d'immeubles, commerces, gare etc..) comme un jeu de piste pour découvrir l'ensemble. Pour mieux comprendre le projet, voici ma note d'intention:
"Lorsque la Soucoupe m’a invitée à photographier le Bel Air, je n’en connaissais rien. Après avoir traversé la passerelle, au fil des balades et rencontres, les habitants m’ont accueillie et guidée pour partager leur univers, échangeant avec moi leur regard sur un quartier ouvert, avec ses lieux de vie aérés, ses joies et ses doutes. L’exposition, à l’échelle du quartier, de cette série en noir et blanc est l’aboutissement de ces échanges. Un grand merci à tous mes interlocuteurs en souhaitant qu’ils y retrouvent un petit bout d’eux même."
Si d'aventure vous passez dans les environs, n'hésitez pas à venir découvrir l'exposition. Une rencontre autour du projet aura lieu au centre social de la Soucoupe le 20 Juillet.
