Klum Photography - fantastic photos of animals and nature by the world known photographer Mattias Klum. Monika and Mattias Klum and their team entered the steamy rain forests of Borneo. It was 1995. The world s foremost illustrated magazine, National Geographic, wanted their personal impressions of one of the richest natural environments in the world. After fourteen months of living in tents and blinds, they came back with thousands of photographs and miles of motion film sequences. One of the stills, the illusive silvered leaf monkey, was chosen for the cover of National Geographic. Forty-four million readers met the monkey s gaze, and met, face to face, a being from the depths of the rain forest. That is how Monika and Mattias work with their photographs, films and stories. They want to affect us. In the long term, to change us. If people have been emotionally moved by something, they want to know more about it; there is something to keep and cherish. Born Anno Domini 1982 slightly south of the arctic circle in the northern part of Sweden. Plausible a reincarnated bear judging of my weakness for honey. I was moving around in the woods already when being merely a handbreadth tall, riding the back of my father and helping picking berries, probably mostly eating them to be correct but I was enjoying. Living next door to nature has fuelled an interest into a passion of the very same. After dedicated having followed in the footsteps of Diana I more or less slipped into photography and a whole new world was opening, needless to say that I absolutely loved it! Pretty much every photo is an exciting story itself, more often than not with fierce ants in a minor part. It can be, to say the least, troublesome to sit absolutely still in a path of ants waiting to take the shot. I love challenges and I m close to allergic to idleness. Harsh elements, warm and cold weather fascinates but it has to be extreme but craves high quality equipment. The sharpest, brightest, fastest focusing lenses read: the heaviest the strongest tent fabrics, warmest sleeping bags The Canon body I m currently using is a true miracle in terms of quality and reliability but weighs like a brick and so does the lenses. Jag föddes 1958 i Stockholm. Nu för tiden fotograferar jag nästan uteslutande digitalt. Jag älskar naturfotografi och vill s l ngt det är möjligt färdigställa mina bilder i kameran. Jag försöker begränsa efterarbete s l ngt det är möjligt. Vid sidan av naturfotografin ägnar jag mig t de flesta typerna av fotografi. Senare r har jag haft ambitionen att vidareutveckla mitt naturfotograferande. Jag har försökt att f naturen att st modell i bilder där motivet underordnas känslan. Jag har försökt att komma ifr n den avbildande fotograferingen för att i stället skapa bilder. Jag har försökt skapa mer bild än avbild. Min förhoppning är att mina bilder skall ge dig en känsla av ro och harmoni. Jag hoppas bilderna kan fungera som en oas i en stressig vardag. En oas som ger dig möjlighet att komma till ro och l ta tankarna sväva för ett ögonblick.
