Photographer Leora Cheshin Fine Art Photography Jerusalem Israel

Leora Cheshin has been a commercial and artistic photograper for 25 years. Her works are in private collections in Israel, England and the United States and have been published in various magazines, books, cards and calendars. She specializes in photographing botanical forms. Her most famous collection is The Green Series which was exhibited many times in various versions. Other works emphasize natural or man made patterns to create abstract images. Her range of subjects include portraits. Her most recent exhibition s theme was the relationship of adults to their inner child. Born in Jerusalem 1949 , Leora is married to David, and the mother of Adam and Tal. Leora completed her academic studies in Hebrew Language and Linguistics at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and has taken art and photography classes at the Israel Museum and at Bezalel Academy of Art and Design. She is a member of The Jerusalem Artists Association. Leora s studio is located in the center of Jerusalem, near the King David Hotel. Her works are exhibited there and can be viewed by appointment.

Photography became a part of Susan Meyer s life 14 years ago when she participated in a photographic workshop in Namaqualand, South Africa. Amongst the wild spring flowers and the granite rocks in this semi-desert region she rediscovered a love of nature. She attended many more workshops both in Namaqualand and in New Brunswick, Canada. At the same time she joined a photography group in Israel, her home since 1974. Susan has taken part in joint exhibitions and has given audio-visual slide presentations to various groups.
