Graham Bailey Photography - wildlife and sports photography

Graham Bailey Photography - wildlife and sports photography

Wildlife photography from the UK and Ecuador by Graham Bailey. On my most recent trip to Ecuador, although most of my time was again spent in the rainforest, I also managed to spend a couple of days in the cloud forest and visit the Galapagos islands. They lived up to their reputation as one of the best places in the world to see wildlife up close and personal as the animals have absolutely no fear of people.Of course I also photograph the wildlife back at my home in the UK. It may not be as glamourous as that of the Amazon but when you start to look for it there can be an increadible amount of beatiful wildlife right in your back garden. You can browse a selection of my images from both Ecuador and the UK by visiting the wildlife galleries or if you're a regular visitor you can just check out what's new.

Working in IT, in the Education sector, I find that just being out and about, surrounded by nature, is the perfect way for me to relax. Getting opportunities to shoot a variety of wildlife is a bonus and such a buzz when the opportunity arises.

Although I travel to various parts of the country most of my best work is done in my local area especially in and around the Charnwood Forest. In 2007 I was the overall winner in the International Wild bird Photographer of the Year competition. My work is represented by the RSPB Images and NHPA and I also write articles on a regular basis for Amateur Photographer and Outdoor Photography. I also lead regular workshops for Digital Depots Imaging academy on wildlife photography. I immerse myself into long term projects and I am passionate about the natural world I continue to seek new images and I am already looking forward to my next close encounter with the Natural World.
