Zentrales Thema ist das Eingehen auf das anscheinend Unscheinbare.Gewohntes aus seinem ursprünglichen Kontext genommen entfaltet bei näherem Hinsehen ungeahnten Reichtum an Farben und Formen und lässt Raum für Interpretationsmöglichkeiten, die weit über das Dargestellte hinausgehen. Die Motive sind im Digitaldruckverfahren in beliebiger Größe bis zu 1,5 m Breite produzierbar.Die Bilder weisen verschiedene Formate auf, weil Objekte, die nicht zum Motiv gehören, abgeschnitten sind. Die Fotografien werden im hoch auflösenden Digitaldruckverfahren auf Malerleinen gebracht. Durch die feine Struktur der Leinwand entsteht ein zusätzlicher Tiefeneffekt. Nach dem Bedrucken wird die Leinwand mit einem langlebigen, seidenmatten Lack beschichtet, der das Bild vor Lichteinfall und Kratzern schützt.

This has really been a journey of discovery both in terms of style and subject matter. I now see the natural world with different eyes, always searching for shapes, patterns, textures, colours and hues that are not observable from a distance. Moreover, I have found these to make exquisite fine art images which are often totally abstract in nature. The gicl e prints have an impressionistic look and feel with only small parts in focus. Viewed up close, much of the image is unrecognisable and it is only when observed at some distance does the subject take form. Indeed, many of the images remain purely abstract, leaving the viewer to contemplate their origins. Different images often start to emerge giving them greater depth and meaning. It is the subtle rendition of the out-of-focus parts of the image that gives them their special quality and I gain the most satisfaction from creating such images from seemingly uninteresting and commonplace subjects that have been passed by many times before. The more I find, the more I realise that this search has only just begun.
