Landscape, Large Format, Technical, Travel.... Here you will find fine art images that result from many years of travel through the western United States and locations abroad. Please enjoy browsing through the images within the online portfolio. We're all very fortunate to live in such a dynamic and colorful world. Being able to visit some of the world's most beautiful places is quite a privilege. To be able to capture natural beauty and share it with others is even more of a privilege for me. My philosophy is simple: become aware of your natural surroundings patiently. The image you want to capture is there, but you must wait until the right moment to capture it. It's this guiding principle that makes the difference in nature photography.
Eric was attracted to landscape photography like many others through the prints of Ansel Adams, as well as the influences of Edward Weston, John Fielder, Galen Rowell and the talented photographers of National Geographic. He started roaming the northern California country side of Marin, Sonoma and Lake Counties capturing Pacific seaside vistas, oak covered valleys and tidal flats as he started constructing a portfolio. In 2006, Eric was awarded Best in Category by National Photo Awards, for the print "Dallas Divide Aspen Sunburst".

About Art Escobado- I have been photographing America s scenery for the past year. I find photography to be the perfect synthesis to depict and share the drama of the natural world and am continually delighted, awed, and inspired by its ability to reinvigorate the human condition. In order to help maintain these areas 2 of print purchases are donated back to the National Parks. Welcome to my gallery of landscape photographs. I m Sam Cox. I consider myself an underpaid professional backpacker. If finding the perfect flat-ground tent site in the wilderness were a sport, I d be Champion of the Universe. I can draw every internal part of my camp stove by memory. I can set up my tent in less than 2 minutes. I have out-hiked llama trains. On every trip I take, I carry my camera, and I take lots of photos. I ve backpacked hundreds of miles and camped in hundreds of locations around the US over the last decade and it never grows old. There s just no place I d rather be. Explore parts of America you ve never seen by clicking on a state in the column to the left, then clicking on any one of the thumbnail images. Most images are from Colorado and Wyoming, since these are the states I ve been hanging my hat in for the last 10 years. If you find yourself taken with a particular image, you re in luck, because I sell them at cost about enough to buy a freeze-dried backpacking dinner. Minimum 10 of proceeds go to my favorite non-profit environmental advocacy groups. On the Outdoor Recreation Page you ll find dozens of illustrated essays from my adventures around the country. Drop me a line and let me know what you think. Enjoy.

Ute City Photo features the landscape wildlife people and sports photos of Robbie George. The name Ute City Photo refers to a time in history when the Ute Indians lived in the Aspen valley. The Utes called the area the Shining Mountains. In the mid-1800 s, miners came seeking silver and named their settlement Ute City. It was a neglected ghost town by the time Robbie s grandfather came to the valley on horseback in the early 1940 s, but he settled in the area for the natural beauty and solitude. Though much has changed in the last half-century, it s those old-world qualities that Robbie seeks to capture in his photography. Robbie George grew up in Aspen, Colorado and currently resides downvalley in Silt. Robbie is a professional photographer who has been published in many national magazines, web sites, and calendars. He primarily shoots high-end real estate in Aspen. His versatile style gives him the ability to take assignments or shoot a variety of subjects for his clients.

He is represented in New England by Boston Corporate Art. My love of outdoor photography began at a very early age. My parents believed that seeing the country should be an integral part of our education. I photographed our family adventures as we camped and backpacked through all 50 states. I complemented these experiences in the world outdoors with my formal education, earning degrees in Environmental Studies and Oceanography. As an ecologist, I see many parallels between the study of natural ecosystems and the photography of these same landscapes. In ecosystem research, you have to approach the world on several different levels. To see the big picture, you need to investigate the various spatial and temporal scales on which natural processes occur. In photography, through our use of composition, light, point of view, aperture, and shutter speed, we are doing the same thing, exploring various parts of our visual world in order to better understand the whole. My quest has taken me from Alaska to Antarctica, from Africa to...
