Bass Rock - Fine art photography - East Lothian coast - SCOTLAND

Here you will find gallery collections on the themes of landscape, coastal and floral. Many of these photographs were taken in and around North Berwick and the East Lothian coastline of Scotland. The beautiful coastline and rural scenery of Scotland provides me with much of the inspiration for my photography, but I also find interest and beauty in the smallest of natural things, such as flowers, rocks and shells. All of the photographs in my galleries were taken using Nikon digital cameras D70 and D200 . For the technically minded, I have provided the basic exposure data with each photograph.

Being born and bred near Elgin in the Laich of Moray, North East Scotland, I am fortunate to have a wealth of diversity of Scottish scenery to photograph, from mountains to sea shore. I shoot my images on film using a Mamiya RZ67, shooting in colour or B&W, and I also have a Pentax compact digital to record places I may come back to when the light is right is it ever . Scottish Landscapes Photography

Scottish Landscapes is a digital photography company, run by husband and wife team Louise and Douglas McGilviray. We are based in central Scotland and it is our aim to capture the ever changing light and colours of the lochs, glens and mountains. We travel to many different places and at various different times to try to capture the magic of Scotland. Our digital photography has evolved over the last 40 years from our first Yashica 35mm SLR camera, then moving into the digital age with a 2 mega pixel Nikon and then right through to today where much of our work is taken by the Nikon D2X. These camera changes have been made, in order to do justice to Scotland s vast ranges of colours and moods. We are constantly adding different categories and sub categories to the site in an effort to give a broad range of views and compositions.
