"I aim to combat visual mediocrity and try to challenge the boundaries of photography by exploring the darkroom or computer worlds of the cameraless image, the negative sandwich, multiple printings, double exposure, the expended tonal scale, etc. My images are personal but I sincerely hope that they have significant implications for others to inspire them to seek out their own "humanscapes".

There is a connection between science and art. This proverb has proved with Dan Gazit. While being a scientist in profession he was always drawn to photography as an art. This has started with crude macros and montage photographs taken with his father s old Leika camera and has evolved to the works presented here. Gazit had no formal art education outside a two years course in black and white photography. This turned to be an advantage making it easier to break the convention that ruled this art for quite a while. A short description of his style is presented in Imagination .
