Photographic imagery by Ken Signorello. A Vermont photographer. Many of my images document cross country road trips. I strive to capture images that evoke an emotional response. It can be the rarefied beauty of an austere southwest desert, or the delightfully complex detail of a mushroom s gills. If I can look at an image I ve made and experience the feeling I had when I captured it, I ve accomplished half my goal. If someone else has that response, then I ve accomplished the other half. When others see something in my work I ve missed, that s a bonus. Many of my images document numerous cross country road trips. I hope to share my experience of exploring America s back roads. My favorite images happen when light, weather and object juxtaposition conspire as to scream out Capture this Image . When this occurs I hope to have my camera. Inspired by my father I began taking photos 35 years ago and studied photography in college. After a 15 year hiatus, a sports car and digital technology re-inspired me. My current work includes documenting my Green Destiny Capitol Project; initially a simple goal of photographing Green Destiny my car and myself in front of each state capitol. But it s evolved into an exploration of America s scenic byways and back roads. I appreciate and explore nature s complexity. A growing gallery of over 25 years of John Lehet. When I printed large format photographs in the darkroom, I was a master at manipulating contrast through chemisty and paper choice, and making a print sing with dodging and burning, techniques I learned through study with Ansel Adam's assitant in the early 80s (and Ansel's technical books). As I started using photoshop, I found that the fact that I knew in my mind what I wanted helped me work efficiently. Now I've got a very fast dual G5 Macintosh with a few GB of RAM, and I consider working with photoshop like playing a musical instrument. My fingers move, and the instrument responds quickly; I know what I want and how to get it.I can manipulate images from complex masking, layering, repairing, dodging and burning, layering. Anything you need. Aside from layout and adding design elements, I can improve the printability of any of your images. I'm happy to work freelance at the rate of $110/hour, billed by the minute.
