Featured Article: Trash The Dress (TTD)

Brides and grooms want awesome imagery from their wedding, period. They want the unscripted moments captured, but they also want a photographer that can get very creative during a portrait session. That’s why couples everywhere are donning their wedding finery and not only descending into caves, but plunging into breakers, walking through abandoned amusement parks, wandering through cornfields, wading into forest streams and chasing other wild pursuits in an increasingly popular ritual and edgy extension of wedding photojournalism called Trash the Dress (TTD).

A 50-Year-Old Upstart Redefines ‘Emerging’

Michael Somoroff’s approach is best described as Madison Avenue meets the Italian Renaissance: He is an artist-manager equally at ease with corporate sponsors and Chelsea gallerists.

Jesse Ross - Contemporary Art Photographer

Jesse Ross - Contemporary Art Photographer

Contemporary fine art color and black and white photography prints of experimental and abstract treatments of flowers still lifes and European themed landscapes by American photographer Jesse Ross. Jesse Ross is an emerging artist living and working in and between his two major residential bases of Opatija, Croatia on the Adriatic Coast and Sarajevo, capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The influence of these climates gives charged diversity to Ross artistic subject matter through Mediterranean hues of seascapes, fishing villages and flora to moody tones surrounding Mosques, cemeteries and dramatic hilly landscapes. The artist s latest fine art photography work is characterized by contemporary expressive treatments of the floral photography, still life photography, landscapes photography and purely abstract photography genres intersecting with earlier, traditional as well as transitional black and white photography compositions. Many of the most recent art photography works presented here have undergone an experimental technique of having been blurred through the lens of an analogue 35mm camera in the attempt to emphasize color and composition. The intention is to create great new pieces of fine visual art which bring together the modern avant-garde with classical picture making. Heather Maslen - Fine art photography

Heather Maslen - Fine art photography

My work is an expression of my response to the world around me and the people I meet. I have loved making these images and I hope that you enjoy them. I learned black and white printing, first in the traditional wet darkroom and then in the digital darkroom , whilst living in Alaska. I now work mainly with medium format film and full frame digital cameras. I held several small shows in Anchorage and my work was featured in the local press, the Anchorage Daily News. My photographs of musicians were used to promote the Alaska Jazz Workshop. Portfolio: tidal shapes, ice shapes, landscape, stones, still life, portrait, colour images

View and purchase limited edition fine art photography by Damian Kolbay. Black and White color landscape nature urban travel and macro photos can be found in the gallery. Photography is matted signed and can be framed. Standard and custom size works can be found. Vibrant colors, stunning black and whites, and everything in between can be found within the galleries. From landscapes of Italy to macro shots in the kitchen to high mountain streams, the photos are as varied as my interests. My photographs are printed on only archival quality paper with archival quality inks. This means that the photos will last much longer than if they were printed on your average printer. The manufacturers report the life of their papers and inks in terms of years before they fade or yellow. I use only materials that will last over 50 years, and most over 80 years. This means that you can enjoy your photographs for a long time. To ensure the longevity of your artwork, I only mat and frame the photographs using archival quality mounting techniques. This includes using only archival mats and backing board for both the unframed and framed photography offered through my website. The frames available through the website include UV protection glass as just one more measure to protect your investment.
