Julie Williams-Krishnan completed her MA in Photographic Studies from University of Westminster in 2006. She is an emerging voice in the photographic fine art arena and she is building her photographic practice as an artist and freelance photographer. She has recently begun teaching photography to university students. In her personal work, Julie seeks to reveal details that build our reality. Using photography and performance to interpret meanings and experiences, she seeks to challenge limitations and push boundaries. Often using herself as the performing subject, she creates or reveals scenarios, experiences, or possibilities that might otherwise remain hidden, unnoticed, or unexperienced. Julie s academic studies in literature and photography provide the theoretical context for her personal work. Her professional background includes marketing and public relations, which gives her a solid understanding of business needs. Her photography clients include blowUP Media, Shillam & Smith Architects, Rosslyn Hill Unitarian Chapel, Bengali Community Development Project, and the Safer London Foundation. Based in London since 1994, Julie is originally from the United States, she has lived in China and Japan and traveled to approximately 50 countries
