Mit ihnen lässt sich die Bildqualität optimieren, sie können die Lichtmenge, die auf den Sensor oder Film fällt, reduzieren und kreative Effekte erzielen. Mit optischen Vorsätzen können die effektive Brennweite verändert und die Naheinstellgrenze verkürzt werden. In der digitalen Photographie lassen sich zwar viele Filterwirkungen auch nachträglich digital am PC erzielen. Einige aber sind nur direkt bei der Aufnahme möglich und deshalb sind Filter gefragt wie nie.

Susanne Pridoehl was born and raised in northern Germany. She received her degree from the well-known Lette Verein in Berlin, where she studied the classical forms of photography, lighting and printing, as well as modern techniques of digital imaging. Since her graduation as a photographer, she has exhibited her work in Germany and has pursued a successful career in the fields of fashion, portrait, advertisement and wedding photography.
