Forget Me Not Designs has evolved mainly from my love of the garden. The style of my photography from every angle reflects this, even down to the way they are displayed. The images are mounted in odd numbers just like the traditional planting techniques. My images mainly try and capture the abstract qualities of my subjects for example; the structure, textures and colours that they naturally provide. The combination of all these qualities gives a great vibrant contemporary feel.

Irish Wildflowers

Welcome to Irish Wildflowers , illustrating some of the flowers to be found growing wild in Ireland. A Sitemap has been added to the website for easy access to the different sections. The Common and Irish names are given when hovering over each wildflower image and clicking on the image opens a page with photographs and plant information. Flowering Now shows some wildflowers to be seen each month, and to identify flowers by Colour follow this link. The Irish flora includes both native and introduced flowering plants and most wildflowers growing in Ireland are also to be found in Britain and Northern Europe. Over 800 of the wild flowers found in Ireland are native, and 15 of these form what is known as the Lusitanian Flora. The members of this unique group of native wildflowers are absent from Britain and northern Europe. If you are searching for native Irish wildflowers the Index A-Z with Common, Latin or Irish names shows at a glance which are the native and which the introduced wild flowers included on the website. Latin names have been revised in line with Stace 1997 . Sources used for Irish names and plant details are given on the reference page. Within Ireland are many different Habitats with their own distinctive plants. The Burren in Co.Clare is world famous for the wildflowers that grow on its limestone pavements and Irish peat bogs are some of the most extensive left in Europe, also with their own special flora. The menu bar gives the option for viewing images in Thumbnails A-Z or an alphabetical Index A-Z with Common, Latin or Irish names. More details of each wild flower can be seen by clicking on the link from these pages. Many of the wildflowers illustrated here were photographed in the Ballingeary and Inchigeelagh areas of Co.Cork, but they are to be found growing in suitable habitats throughout Ireland.

The cactus and succulent plant mall CSPM is an Internet resource for all growers of cacti and succulent plants. It is regularly updated with information on cactus and succulent societies and suppliers of plants, seeds and literature on cacti and succulents. The CSPM has developed and hosts webpages for cactus and succulent organisations worldwide 118 domains 80 web sites within cactus-mall.com 104 advertisers . It also aims to maintain as complete a list of web pages and other cactus and succulent related Internet facilities as possible. The CSPM is maintained by Suzanne and Tony Mace. We regret that our work load has grown to the point where we can no longer answer individual cultivation or identification questions. We recommend you ask these in the British Cactus Society Forum. The CSPM includes the official webpages for a number of the national Cactus and Succulent Societies, websites for many specialist groups, local clubs and nurseries all over the world. Adam Golatofski - Das Pflanzenreich

Seit etwa 23 Jahren kann ich die Finger nicht von Pflanzen lassen. Eigentlich soll es sogar früher begonnen haben, wenn man meiner Mutter Glauben schenkt. Die ersten Pflanzen waren einfach zu haltende Hibiskus und Gummibäume. Doch dann ging es rapide bergauf, als ich eine Bergpalme Chamaedorea elegans kaufte. Und natürlich ebenso bergab, als die ersten Orchideen eingingen. Glücklicherweise waren meine Eltern sehr tolerant, wenn es um das Design meines Zimmers ging, und ich weiß nicht, ob ich das meinem Sohn erlauben würde, aber warten wir es einmal ab ;- Im laufe der Zeit wuchs mein Wissen um die Pflege der Pflanzen und die Ausfälle wurden weniger. Natürlich machte ich Phasen verschiedener Geschmäcke durch. So gab es Zeiten in denen ich Fuchsien sammelte, dann Amaryllis, dann wiederum Palmen, Orchideen, Bromelien, Farne ... Das meiste war nur von kurzer Dauer, denn ohne ein großes Gewächshaus ist es sehr schwer mit dieser Vielfalt glücklich zu werden. Inzwischen habe ich mich eingependelt und landete bei Passiflora, epiphytischen Kakteen und Orchideen, so ganz nach dem Motto: weniger ist mehr .

Hallo liebe Turbini Freunde, ich begrüße euch herzlich auf www.turbinicarpus.net. Diese Seite soll mit der Zeit eine der umfangreichsten Internet Plattformen über die Gattung Turbinicarpus werden. Begonnen habe ich mit einer Zusammenstellung von Standort- und Kulturaufnahmen. Die Bilder entstanden auf mehreren Reisen durch Mexico lindo seit 1990 oder stammen von guten Freunden. Das die Gattung Turbinicarpus solchen Aufwand wert ist beweist das Foto. Es zeigt mich im Herbst 1994 auf dem Rückweg vom Turbinicarpus lausseri nach bereits ca. 4,5 Stunden Marsch auf dem steilsten Teilstück. Das Glück die Pflanzen am Standort als einer der ersten zehn Europäer gesehen zu haben ist ganz klar aus dem Foto meines Freundes Milan Zachar zu erkennen. --- Hello, Turbini Friends, Welcome to www.turbinicarpus.net. It is hoped that this site will eventually become one of the largest internet platforms for the Turbinicarpus species. I began with a collection of pictures of sites and cultures. They were taken on several trips to Mexico lindo since 1990 or were sent by friends. The photo proves that the species Turbinicarpus is well worth such expenditure of energy. It shows yours truly in the fall of 1994 on the way back from a site of Turbinicarpus lausseri after a hike of about 4.5 hours on the steepest part.
