Gulf States Council of Camera Clubs

Today 35 clubs from Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas continue the organization and the convention tradition.Conventions are a time for a gathering of friends from around the Council area, and for making new friends, exchanging ideas, and learning from programs. The host clubs have the pleasure of serving and entertaining their fellow photographers. One thread tying the clubs together is GSCCC News, a monthly newsletter of from six to eight pages, carrying news of individual club activities, and the results from the interclub competitions.

The New England Camera Club Council (NECCC) is a non-profit umbrella group for about 80 camera clubs in the New England states (Connecticut, Rhode Island, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont). An annual three-day photography conference each July at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, MA, which is one of the largest in the United States. Over 1200 photographers from the U.S. and other countries attend our conference. Attendees range from beginner to professional photographer.

UPDIG: - universal photographic digital imaging guidelines

The UPDIG guidelines aim to clarify issues affecting accurate reproduction and management of digital images. These guidelines were created to establish photographic standards and practices for photographers, designers, printers, and image distributors. The guidelines cover Digital Asset Management, Color Profiling, Metadata, and Photography Workflow. The guidelines were prepared by the UPDIG Coalition, with the help of many digital imaging professionals, software vendors, and hardware manufacturers. The UPDIG Coalition is dedicated to promoting standards for photographic digital imaging. Digital images should look the same as they transfer between devices, platforms and vendors.• Digital images should be prepared in the correct resolution, size and sharpness for the device(s) on which they will be viewed or printed.• Digital images should have embedded metadata that conform to the IPTC and PLUS standards, making them searchable while providing relevant rights and usage information – including creator’s name, contact information and a description of licensed uses.• Digital images should be protected from accidental erasure or corruption and stored carefully to ensure their availability to future generations. ....... ICC profile-based color management defines color information in standard terms necessary for proper reproduction of images. Monitors, printers, scanners, and ideally, cameras should be profiled. The IVRPA formerly the IQTVRA is an international association of professionals who create and produce interactive, immersive images. Our Members include professional photographers, multimedia and web developers, artists, enthusiasts, students, and companies and individuals that support our technology with software and hardware. To promote and support the uses of image based VR and related technologies worldwide through education, community forums, networking opportunities, manufacturer alliances, marketing assistance, and technical support of our Member s efforts. The IVRPA was founded originally as the IQTVRA, the International QuickTimeVR Association. The association was incorporated in the state of California on december 7th, 1998. In december 2004, the association changed their name to IVRPA to reflect our broadening technological field of immersive interactive imaging.
