Wie einige Wirtschaftsblätter (u. a. das "Wall Street Journal" in den USA und "Nikkei" in Japan) melden, sei der südkoreanische Elektronik-Multi Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. mit Sitz in Seoul an einer maßgeblichen Beteiligung oder gar Übernahme des Flashspeicherkarten-Weltmarktführers SanDisc Corp. in Milpitas/Kalifornien interessiert. Mit dem Großlizenzgeber SanDisk im Konzern würde der weltweite Marktführer im NAND-Flashspeicher-Geschäft seine strategische Position deutlich verbessern.
