The Yerba Buena Chapter of the Photographic Society of America provides a forum for Northern California PSA members who have an interest in photography. Covering the coastal area of Northern California, the Chapter includes the following counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, Del Norte, Humboldt, Lake, Marin, Mendocino, Monterey, Napa, San Benito, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Solano, Sonoma, and Trinity.

Channel City Camera Club, Santa Barbara

Channel City Camera Club - A meeting place for Santa Barbara area photographers and photography enthusiasts for over 70 years - Photography competitions are held on the first Tuesday of the month. The club provides competition in a variety of categories in print and digitally projected images. Local professional photographers and club members critique the images and provide constructive feedback. The club participates in several major art exhibits in Santa Barbara displaying members’ prints in both open air and gallery environments.

The Stereo Club of Southern California is organized for the purpose of promoting the art, enjoyment and science of 3D photography. This is accomplished through monthly meetings which typically include 3D slide projection programs, workshops, slide competitions, field trips, discussions on 3D ideas and techniques, purchase and ownership of equipment necessary toward the fulfillment of the above, and many other 3D related activities. Visitors and guests are always welcome at the monthly meetings held on the third Thursday of each month at 7:30pm. We meet at the Wilshire United Methodist Church, 711 South Plymouth Blvd., just off Wilshire near Crenshaw, west of downtown Los Angeles and south of Hollywood.

Home for Camera Club of Los Altos (CCLA) a group of photographers in Silicon Valley California who meet monthly for photography and competition. We are members of the Mid-Peninsula Photographic Alliance (MPPA). A camera club in Silicon Valley California promoting the mutal enjoyment and learning of the art of photography. Our meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month at the Hillview Community Center, 97 Hillview Avenue, Los Altos, CA. The Camera Club of Los Altos is affiliated with the the Mid-Peninsula Photographic Alliance (MPPA) and the Photographic Society of America (PSA). Our affiliation with the MPPA allows us to enter winning monthly photographs in subsequent monthly MPPA competitions where they are judged alongside the three other clubs belonging to the MPPA, the Palo Alto Camera Club, the Milpitas Camera Club and the Sunnyvale Camera Club.

The purpose of the Camera Club is to promote and advance the art of photography. To do this, we have: SLIDE EVALUATIONS with non-Club member judges DIGITAL EVALUATIONS with non-Club member judges. PRINT CRITIQUES with non-Club member judges. At the end-of –the-year we hold a competition with three judges to select the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each category and medals are awarded. We learn a lot from the judges’ comments on how to improve our pictures. We also provide training. Our Digi 101 courses should you how to operate your new digital camera and what to do with images once they are on your camera. Our monthly Digi Sigs provide instruction on how to use the various computer programs to enhance your images.

Photographic Society of Orange Country was founded in 1993 by Leroy Hannon due to over crowded photography classes at local community colleges. A place where members can approach photography with a resolution to reach their creative potential." Through field trips, a series of workshops, and gallery shows, the Society hopes to expand the appreciation of photography throughout Orange County. Whether you have trouble with a simple point and shoot or have been clicking away for decades, the Photographic Society of Orange County welcomes you.

NCPS - North County Photographic Society

The Society holds its regular evening meetings at Quail Botanical Gardens in Encinitas on the fourth Wednesday of each month during January through October. In November, we meet on the third Wednesday; in December, we usually have a Holiday party.Generally, the meetings include professional guest speakers covering some aspect of photography. The NCPS sponsors various field photo shoots and contests, area exhibits and seminars. Every November, we hold our Annual Member's Show, which features some of the best photography in the county, and is juried by an outside photographer. Members are encouraged to bring two of their finest works from the year to this show.

SRPS - Santa Rosa Photographic Society, Santa Rosa, California USA

The Santa Rosa Photographic Society is for both beginning and advanced photographers with the purpose of providing educational and competitive meetings designed to further interest and ability in photography. The SRPS meets the second and fourth Thursday of every month. Our educational and competition meetings are designed to further members’ interest and ability in photography. Meetings are held on the second and fourth Thursdays monthly, except November and December. The club is a member of and meets at the Luther Burbank Art and Garden Center, 2050 Yulupa Avenue, in Santa Rosa. SRPS also schedules field trips at various points during the year. Most are day trips to nearby sites, but some are weekend or extended weekend expeditions to more distant locations. The Exhibitions Committee arranges at least one member exhibition at a public venue annually, giving members the opportunity to have their images viewed outside of the club. The year closes with an Awards Banquet and a program highlighting the End-of-Year Competitions’ winners. SRPS participates in Photographic Society of America’s International Club Slide Competitions with other camera clubs. Our PSA Representative also has information on individual memberships, PSA-sponsored conferences, and other PSA-related activities.

Poly Photo Club is San Diego's finest camera club. Poly Photo Club is the best place for photographers of all types to meet, exchange information, show their work and enjoy the companionship of a friendly group of people sharing their interest in photography. If you own a camera, Poly Photo Club is the place for you. Originally formed in 1948, our name is based on the word poly which means many -- as in many photographic styles and techniques. Today, Poly Photo Club offers a wide variety of activities for photographers:Workshops where we learn about photography. Past workshops have included portraiture, still life, macro, nature, and other creative techniques. Photo Outings to various San Diego area sites to practice our photography and create new competition-worthy images. Competition: the most important aspect of the club, where experienced judges critique and score member images.
