Women In Focus, womeninfocus, women photographers Atlanta

We are an artist-initiated organization of women photographers who focus on support and promote the photographic arts in Atlanta. Each month, we meet to plan exhibitions, discuss technique, critique each other's work in a supportive environment, and learn from one another during informative workshops and programs, which are offered free of charge to members.Recent programs have included an exploration of pinhole cameras, a studio lighting demonstration, a color printing workshop and lab, an introduction to Photoshop and digital printing, and a presentation about self-publishing a book of photographic images.

The National Stereoscopic Association is a group of over 3000 people dedicated to the preservation collection and study of 3-D photogarphy. We publish the bi-monthly magazine... The goals of the association are to promote the study, collection and use of stereographs, stereo cameras and related materials; to provide a forum for collectors and students of stereoscopic history; to promote the practice of stereo photography; to encourage the use of stereoscopy in the fields of visual arts and technology and to foster the appreciation of the stereograph as a visual historical record.

The GNPA is dedicated to helping nature photographers of all skill levels improve their photography, learn and grow, meet other outdoor photographers, participate in great trips and events, help others understand the value of the natural world and give focus to a special area of interest in photography. The Georgia Nature Photographers' Association meets the third Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. Meetings are held at the Chattahoochee Nature Center (CNC) located at 9135 Willeo Rd., Roswell, GA 30075.

Middle Georgia Camera Club has informational and educational programs, and interclub competitions judged by members of the Photographic Society of America. We sponsor the photographic competition at the Georgia State Fair, and provide support for the Georgia National Fair and the Macon Cherry Blossom Festival photography competitions. In addition, several field trips are planned throughout the year.

The purpose of the Guild is to educate encourage and expand the knowledge and skills of its members in the art and science of Digital Photography. Regular meetings are held at 7:00pm on the second and fourth Thursday of each month (except the 4th Thursday's in November and December) at Central Baptist Church, Room 187, 1120 Lake Joy Road in Warner Robins, Ga.

The Athens Photography Guild is a monthly gathering of member photographers with a wide range of interests and experiences in photography. Four years ago this opportunity did not exist in the Athens area. New to photography? Want to develop your skills? Come visit.Meetings are organized to present announcements and information about shows or exhibit opportunities; reviewing the Creative Challenge entries and voting for “best,”; Moments for PhotoShop; Guest speaker OR a brief informative highlight followed by a show and tell of member images brought to the meeting. Informal, we ask questions about how a specific photograph was obtained. This is sometimes the kick to try and do something different. This is also an opportunity to ask questions about how or why you should do something to get better or different images.The Athens Photography Guild is a place where photographers feel comfortable making friends with other photographers.The Third Thursday of every month at 7:00 p.m. at the Lyndon House Arts Center.

Who Are We? For over 68 years, the Middle Georgia Camera Club has promoted interest in photography in the area surrounding Macon and Bibb County, Georgia. We meet on the first and third Thursdays of each month at the Northminster Presbyterian Church located at 565 Wimbish Road in Macon at 7:30 PM. Visitors are welcome to come and enjoy the company of others with an interest in photography. Membership has no geographic limitations, and we welcome everyone. Members range from absolute beginners to professionals. However, we are all here to enjoy, and learn more about, photography. Feel free to download a Membership Application in Adobe Acrobat format and print it. Our club has informational and educational programs, and interclub competitions judged by members of the Photographic Society of America. We sponsor the photographic competition at the Georgia State Fair, and provide support for the Georgia National Fair and the Macon Cherry Blossom Festival photography competitions. In addition, several field trips are planned throughout the year. We also have an annual Christmas Party and an annual banquet where the best photos of the year are shown.

Roswell Photographic Society - Georgia

Roswell Photographic Society - Georgia

The Club is sponsored and supported by the Roswell Visual Arts Center through the City of Roswell, Roswell Recreation and Parks Dept.There are two monthly meetings. The first, a Program Meeting, is generally held on the first Monday of each month. The Program Meeting includes a presentation by a featured speaker on a photographic subject of interest to our members. The second meeting is a Photo Review which is usually held on the third Monday of each month. At this meeting, Members are invited to bring examples of their work to be critiqued by an expert in photography. Check the Master Calendar for exact meeting dates. In addition to the monthly meetings, the Club also sponsors photographic exhibitions, workshops, seminars and various photographic field trips throughout the year.

APS is a non profit organization established for photographers from the “Beginner to the Professional”. Schedule:The 2nd Thursday of each month (except December) is dedicated to judged competitions in Black & White Prints, Color Prints, and Digital. Ribbons are awarded to the winners in each categoryThe 4th Thursday of each month (see calendar for exceptions) is for programs. These may include “Photo shows”, “Presentations” by members and guests, or “How to” instructional presentations.In addition to the two basic meetings we also do Weekend shoots, Assignment competitions, and the Annual Salon Show during October in conjunction with “Atlanta Celebrates Photography”. This show, like our monthly competitions, is judged and certificates are awarded to the winners.Visit us at any of our regular meetings and look us over as many times as you wish. If you like us and decide to join the club, talk to any of the “official” looking people and they will direct you to the right person.
