Our photography club meets weekly in Mitchell Park, and conducts regular competitions, practicals, workshops and outings. We have set up this site for our members to keep informed about upcoming events, exhibit their current works and works in progress, and for visitors to view beautiful photography, and to be able to contact a community of artists with ease.We have a varied program, including regular competitions in Open or Set Subject categories. Any type of picture may be submitted in an Open competition, whereas in a Set Subject category, only images which fit the category may be submitted. Other activities include practical workshops (bring your camera), guest presentations, Photoshop tutorials, competitions with other clubs and to general or special interest topics.The Club also holds outings to places of photographic or general interest. The highlight of our year is our annual exhibition in December, when all members compete on an equal footing and to which our photographic and personal friends are invited.

Serving amateur photographers in the Adelaide area of South Australia, the Adelaide Camera Club caters to all levels of expertise, and encourages development in all aspects of the art of photography. There are a variety of workshops, competitions and other activities throughout the year. The club has a friendly and informal atmosphere, a progressive approach, and welcomes guests. Founded in 1899, the Adelaide Camera Club is the oldest camera club in South Australia. The aim of the club is to promote and encourage amateur photographers in all aspects of the art of photography. The camera club meets every second and fourth Tuesday of each month. Generally, the second Tuesday is set aside for workshops and the fourth Tuesday for competitions. If there is a fifth Tuesday, an extra workshop is held. There are also a number of field trips held each year. Please refer to the current programme for details. Refer to location and meeting times for how to attend our meetings. The club has always had a strong tradition of portrait photography, and a number of workshops relate to this area. The club maintains link with a model agency for the supply of models for club workshops in exchange for photographic prints. But equally important is the aim of encouraging the art of photography, regardless of the subject matter.
