Nature has always held a strong place in my heart. For me it opens a window to the Divine - full of inspiration and wonder. It is enduring, ever-changing, and fragile all at the same time. Nature invites you to explore - to expand your horizons. It evokes the best of emotions, and urges you to reach out beyond the mundane. I hope that my artwork will inspire you to reach out to that sense of wonder, and to renew and extend our commitments to keep the special places in this world safe for future generations to enjoy. These special places are in need of our protection. Even marble floors become grooved with the passing of many feet. Our parks are heavily burdened, and our wild places not well protected. In addition to hopefully inspiring you to help keep these places for the future, I will personally donate 20 of the after-tax profits from my photography to protect and enhance these sites, so that future generations may enjoy these scenes just as we can today. I began collecting images on professional slide film in 2002. The image Holiness in Eden was awarded 1st place at the 2003 Gilpin County Art Fair. My images have appeared on the walls of the Sundance Cafe, and at the Colorado State Capitol and Great Sand Dunes Visitor Center as parts of the 2006 Rocky Mountain Nature Photographers.net displays. You can also see my images as part of the Colorado State Parks web site, and I am proud to have several Hot Spot articles on the RMNP.Net website. I still maintain a local presence at the Gilpin County Fair and other local events, and am expanding to larger shows. In 2005 I attended my first juried show - the Lakewood Art Fair - as well as a juried gallery exhibit at Tri-Lakes Art Center. By day I am a system administrator and web programmer for a construction management software company. I live in unincorporated Gilpin County, Colorado.
