Jonathan and Angie Scott share a love of wild places. They first met when Angie was working as the Manager for a chain of curio shops supplying lodges and tented camps in East Africa. Angie was having problems tracking down reliable supplies of Jonathan s wildlife books and limited edition pen and ink drawings. They met, fell in love, and were married on a clear day overlooking the rolling plains of the Masai Mara in March 1992. The following year they bought a home of their own in the suburbs of Nairobi, a rambling old stone building with a borehole and ten acres of land overlooking the beautiful Ngong Hills. This is Karen Blixen country, capturing the essence of her book Out of Africa, a land blessed with a wonderful climate tempered by living 5,000 feet above sea level.

Animal Photography is a specialist library based on the work of Sally Anne Thompson, one of the great dog and animal photographers of all time. The library was relaunched in 2007 by Stephen Taylor from Heat Design. The library has the largest collection of dog breeds in the world with two hundred and eighty major breeds. The collection also includes cats, horse breeds from around the world, farm animals, small pets and wild animals Stephen Taylor, MD of Heat Design discovered the images when sharing a studio in Marylebone with the original library owner, Sally Anne s late brother, John de Forest Thompson. I was very excited when I discovered the collection says Taylor. The animals are always top of breed, and the images have a purity and quality you don t find elsewhere. As well as showing the important features of dog and horse breeds, Sally Anne has the ability to get close to the essence of the animal. Many of the images are very suited to design briefs. Now we have the ideal combination: adding Heat s understanding of the creative world to the specialist eye of the photographer. The library holds the work of four other photographers and is always pleased to consider other top quality contributors.Sally Anne Thompson was born into the photography business. Peter loves to take images from around his local area. Peter s favourite photography being Nature and Wildlife. His goals for 2009 are to venture further afield more often and capture lots of great images. All lenses are Canon with Peter s favourite being his Canon EF500 f4 IS USM which is attached to his camera 80 of the time and is an excellent lens for birds and wildlife. He uses a Manfrotto carbon fibre tripod with Manfrotto heads. He has all the usual accessories and bags, although prefers to not carry a bag but use a camera vest instead.
