Windsor Camera Club Windsor Ontario
The purpose of the Windsor Camera Club is to assist its members to improve their photographic skills thru fellowship and involvement in the following club activities. The speakers chosen to present programs cover a broad spectrum of subjects. We have enjoyed lectures on composition, exposure, etc., after which members are encouraged to ask any questions which they may have concerning the subject matter of the night. Members need to get to the meeting early this night in order to submit their material for the competition, generally referred to as evaluation night . Though not compulsory, members are encouraged to enter work for monthly competitions, these evaluations are held on three levels of experience B or beginners, A or improved and AA or advance. All members may enter slides and prints in the following three categories, Open, Nature, and Assignment. Open category may be used to enter photographs of all subject matter no restrictions . Assignment category requires the member to enter only photographs which were taken in the current year and of sufficient subject matter to fit the assigned subject for the month, the club executive gives out a list of assignments at the beginning of the club year in May. Nature category is the most restrictive in that photographs must not show the hand of man, meaning objects such as buildings, concrete, fences, wires, people, etc., also the subject matter should not be in captivity or cultivated unless the photograph is of extreme close-up nature.

We are a SW Ontario photography club that meets to share photographic knowledge organize club outings and enter photo competitions. Novice to semi-pro photographers welcome. The Chatham Camera Club is a over 70 year old Chatham-Kent, Ontario Canada based Photography Club, and a long time member of the Canadian Association of Photographic Arts CAPA . We actively interact with other Clubs and National organizations to promote and further the Art of Photography in our community. We judge and promote local photographic contests as well as National submissions by other Ontario Clubs and hold seminars to help educate and encourage the enjoyment of photography. In 2006, with the generous assistance of the Trillium Foundation we transitioned from a film and slide based Club to one primarily focused on Digital Cameras and technology. Although slides, film and print still play a role in our Club all competitions and photo exchanges with other Clubs are now done through E-mail and the Internet. Our new digital projection equipment has enhanced our meetings, workshops and presentations significantly. As a result of the new wave of digital cameras and technology our Club has tripled in size in the last 12 months with virtually all members having converted to Digital Cameras. If you are reading this because you are interested in Digital Photography or would like to know how to use that new camera, we encourage you to come to our meetings or Photo Outings to see what we are all about. In 2008, with backing from CAPA, the Trillium Foundation supported us again with a grant to purchase additional equiptment to support the Club and our role in the community. Please feel free to contact us through the contacts link if you have any questions that we can help you with. From September through April, we meet in the Library at the Queen Elizabeth School, on Eugene Street in Chatham at 7:00pm on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the Month.

The Ballito Photo Club, KwaZulu Natal South Africa
We usually meet on the first Friday of each month at JK Dance Studio in Balvista Centre, Ballito at 18h30. We start off with a talk followed by Q&A, we then decide on a subject for the monthly photo project. Everyone is involved in judging the photos so they can learn what to look for and hopefully in this way also learn to take better pictures. When possible we also organise a guest speaker or some type of hands on practical or outing. If you have never used a camera before or had 40 years experience you are welcome to join us. No subs or fees just your enthusiasm and input
