His love of nature is evident in the variety of his pictures, from butterflies to flowers to landscapes. Sports is an integral part of his life and he enjoys documenting them in action photos. His photographs have been showcased in International Photography Exhibitions and are also found in private collections. Robert Bailey Photography: Life s out there ...

After much frustration with a sketch pad at age ten I picked up a camera, and accompanied my sister to a nearby stable one day. While she attended to her horse, I wondered around the countryside and realized I could express myself artistically on film. I am captivated by all things natural, but also enjoy filming people, especially reportage style. I like flirting with my subjects without being intrusive. Have worked professionally on commercial television sets doing production photography, shot modern dance for the art department at the University of Calgary, and have worked in a freelance capacity shooting a variety of subjects. I worked as a NAUI scuba instructor up to course director level at the University of Calgary from 1993-1999, and am an avid diver. Photographer s work I enjoy include but am not limited to include; David Doubilet, Michael Nichols, Bettina Rhiems, Ansel Adams, and Helmut Newton, Jim Brandenburg, and Alex Mustard in no particular order.
