In addition to shooting with a helicopter or airplane, BAY AREA SKY-CAM uses a tethered helium-filled blimp to lift a remote control high resolution digital camera from 10 to 200 feet above the ground. Images are relayed to a ground control panel and real time video monitor worn by the photographer who is able to pan 360 degrees, tilt 90 degrees and control the shutter. This is all achieved while the photographer (and the client) previews each shot through the video monitor prior to shutter release. For digital video photography up to 80’, BAY AREA SKY-CAM uses a portable telescoping tower to elevate a digital video camera on a self leveling platform.
