Otley Camera Club

Otley Camera Club

The Club was estabished in 1945 and was originally called the Otley and District Photographic Society. We meet at Prince Henrys Grammar School, Otley on Thursday evenings at 7-30 p.m. from September to May. Whether you are a novice or an expert you will find like minded people to share your interest, including many female members. Why not try us for a few evenings, there will be no pressure to join and you can be sure of a warm welcome.

Leeds Co-Operative Photographic Society

The club has developed a reputation of being one of the friendliest in Yorkshire. We have a good mix of members both in terms of sex and age. Members are always happy to share their knowledge with their colleagues. The Club welcomes anyone interested in digital or film photography. . Membership embraces both photographers and non-photographers - indeed all who enjoy seeing interesting work. The active photographers mainly work with 35mm equipment and record their Images digitally or on film, both colour and black & white. Their work is then shown by either projecting the image on a screen, or by producing photographic prints ranging in size from 7 x 5 up to maximum of 20 x 16 . These prints can be either home or trade produced.

Leeds Audio-Visual Group meet on Fridays at the Cookridge Village Hall, Moseley Wood Lane, Cookridge, Leeds LS16 7ER at 7.30pm. Visitors are Welcome to attend any of the ordinary Friday meetings of the A-V Group. Leeds A-V Group promotes interest in producing Audio-Visual Sequences using today s digital cameras and computer generated digital sound and imaging technologies. The prime activity is to encourage and develop skills in the digital audio-visual medium and the production for public showing of the annual Colour & Music Spectacular. Our members are actively involved in Audio-Visual work and there is a vast amount of experience available to anyone joining the group. We re a group of amateur photographers who meet regularly to share our interest in taking and making pictures, whether slides or prints, using traditional or digital techniques. Our varied weekly programme includes something of interest for everyone from lectures to visits, and competitions to social events. Our meeting place is the upstairs room in Kirkheaton Conservative Club. 10 Town Road, Kirkheaton, Huddersfield, HD5-0HW. We meet on Wednesday evenings throughout the year at 8pm.

Holmfirth Camera Club - Holmfirth West Yorkshire

We are a forum and meeting place for those in Holmfirth and the surrounding areas with an interest in all aspects of photography - slides, prints and digital. Please join us at our regular series of weekly meetings on Monday evenings at 7.30pm in the West End Room of St. David s Church, Holmbridge, from September to March, and monthly from April to August. See the Syllabus page for more detail. It doesn t matter if you are just beginning photography or are already an experienced photographer. We feel sure that you will find our varied programme of much interest and you will have an enjoyable evening as well. Our members compete at all levels and club nights are always a source for much helpful advice and friendly analysis of each others images. We endeavour to include a degree of educational instruction within our annual syllabus.

The Harrogate Photographic Society was founded in 1922 and exists to further the skills, interest and enjoyment for all photographers from beginners to those with experience. The programme contains a range of illustrated talks and demonstrations, many given by visiting experts. It runs from September 2008 to April 2009. In addition a number of outings will be arranged in the summer months. Meetings are held on Monday evenings throughout the season. They start at 7:30pm and finish around 9:30pm. All meetings take place at the Friend s Meeting Hall in Homestead Road, Harrogate. All with an interest in photography are welcome and we aim to keep our meetings lively and stimulating. Those newer to photography or perhaps to the newer digital technology will find that help and guidance is readily available from other members.

Dearne Valley Camera Club

The Dearne Valley Camera Club is a very enthusiastic and active club who cater for both digital and conventional photography. Our programme of events includes competitions, lectures, demonstrations and practical evenings using visiting lecturers, judges and our own members. New members are always welcome whether they are beginners or advanced workers, digital or conventional, young or old. The highlight of the year is the staging of our Annual Exhibition where all members are encouraged to exhibit their work, either Prints or Slides. The club also hosts a national open salon Wath Salon which attracts entries from all over the country. Meetings are held at Dunholm Club, Carr Road, Wath Upon Dearne, Near Rotherham on Thursday Evenings at 7:30PM

AIREBOROUGH CAMERA CLUB - Leeds

AIREBOROUGH CAMMERA CLUB prides itself on being an informal, enthusiastic and friendly photographic club which extends a warm welcome to anyone with an interest in photography. AIREBOROUGH CAMERA CLUB born more than 50 years ago has recently evolved into the digital world of photography! A grant received during 2006 from Awards for All, has enable the Club to purchase equipment for processing and producing prints and audio visual presentations digitally, whilst retaining our continued interest in slides and film. AIREBOROUGH CAMERA CLUB has an interesting and varied programme throughout the year, including, visiting lecturers, members evening, competitions and practical sessions. Members whether beginners or more experienced share an enthusiastic exchange of ideas and expertise and encourage one another to develop their photographic skills. MAIN MEETINGS held on Wednesday evenings in Guiseley Theatre at 7.45 p.m. prompt PRACTICAL NIGHTS DIGITAL IMAGING MEETINGS held monthly on Monday evenings at 8 pm - subject to confirmation.
