Wildlife nature landscapes photography Natuur en landschapsfotografie fotografie. David Pattyn 1969 has always had a special interest for natural history. Because of his work, David moved from Belgium to the Netherlands in 1999 and now lives in Oisterwijk since 2005. A self-taugt photographer, wildlife photography has become a real passion with a particular interest for birds, mammals and landscapes. Trips to foreign destinations are frequently made but photography close to home is equally challenging because in this way he is able to get to know his subjects really well. He likes to work on the same subject for longer periods to get better results. Examples of these kinds of projects are: Bewick s swans, birds photographed from a floating hide, squirrels, landscape photography of the Kampina reserve and Loonse en Drunense duinen national park and Kalahari wildlife. Non of the images you see on this website have been manipulated beyond the usual whitebalance, contrast- and colourcorrections. The animals you can see are wild animals and have been photographed in their original habitat. Some of the animals have been attracted with food. There are no images of animals in captivity. He works as a lawyer in the field of Intellectual Property, IT and Internet Law at the Dirkzwager lawfirm. In his free time he spends as much time as possible on nature photography. Close to Arnhem there are several very nice nature areas, like Deeler Woud, Meinerswijk and Rozendaalse bos, that are frequented by Theo. His favourite areas outside the Netherlands include the Ardennes in Belgium, Iceland and the Gran Paradiso and Lauterbrunnen valleys in the Alps. Theo started his nature photography career in 2003, after a trip to Africa. Since then he has won several awards at major international nature photography competitions, like the Shell BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year, Glanzlichter and the European Wildlife Photographer of the year. In 2005 he was elected Argus Photographer of the year, as the overall winner of the Argus nature and environment photo contest that is open for Belgium and Dutch photographers. Dick Bos Natuurfotografie - Wildlife photography

His love of the natural world never fades. And he develops another passion: photography. As a teenager the first camera Dick buys is an Olympus Trip-35 compact. He gets himself a true Nikkormat SLR in 1972 and he has never failed the Nikon brand since. Check-out his current gear in the Gear section. Some of the photographers that inspire his photographic efforts include Ansel Adams, Eliot Porter, David Muench and Frans Lanting. For bird photography his favorite is Arthur Morris. Through the years Dick travels a lot and makes many a photo. Loving both nature and photography results in quite a number of beautiful wildlife images that you can check-out on this site. And now that he is retired Dick is devoting a lot of his time to these passions. He is co-founder and chairman of the regions chapter of the Dutch Wildlife Photographer Association. He is member of the birds working group Meijendel, participating in bird- and breeding monitoring programs.

Lubbert Boersma - Natuurfotografie in eigen omgeving

Vroeger nam mijn vader mij regelmatig mee als hij de natuur inging. Misschien dat daardoor mijn liefde voor de natuur is ontstaan. Om deze beleving vast te leggen en ook om mensen te laten zien hoe mooi de natuur kan zijn, ben ik in 1982 begonnen met fotograferen. Zo kun je mensen bijvoorbeeld heel anders naar hun eigen woonomgeving laten kijken door opnames in alle jaargetijden van die omgeving te maken. Ook maak ik veel opnames van de Friese flora en fauna en lees ik veel literatuur op dat gebied. Door het geven van diavoorstellingen hoop ik veel mensen te laten zien hoe mooi de natuur is en dat wij daar zuinig mee om moeten gaan. Mijn voorkeur voor de natuur en het maken van mooie opnames beperkt zich echter niet alleen tot Friesland. Het landschap van onderandere Schotland en bijvoorbeeld Noorwegen kan mij erg inspireren.

Ronald Moolenaar Natuurfotografie Dierentuinfotografie

Uitgebreide Natuurfotografie en Dierentuinfotografie site met veel opnames van vogels insecten macro planten bloemen dieren. Geruime tijd heb ik fotografie als hobby waarbij ik in het begin breed was ge nteresseerd. Later is de echte passie specifiek voor natuurfotografie ontstaan. Na een lange periode fotograferen met analoog ben ik nu een aantal jaren bezig met digitaal. De meeste opnames op deze website zijn gemaakt met de Canon EOS 20D en nu ook met de EOS 40D. Er staan daarnaast ook beelden van dia film op de site. De foto s zijn gemaakt in de vrije natuur en voornamelijk in de Nederlandse natuurgebieden. Ik fotografeer natuur breed met toch een specifieke interesse in macro en dan vooral insecten. Je kan opnames maken waar je anders snel aan voorbij gaat. De site wordt regelmatig bijgewerkt met nieuw beeldmateriaal in het onderdeel portfolio en ook bij recent werk en foto van de maand.

Ruben Smit is een gepassioneerd ecoloog en fotograaf. In 2002 promoveerde hij aan de Wageningen Universiteit. Gedurende zes jaar was hij universitair docent. In 2003 startte hij zijn eigen eenmanszaak OutdoorVision . Als fotograaf is hij meer bekend dan als ecoloog. Zijn foto s worden gebruikt in allerlei nationale en internationale tijdschriften zoals National Geographic, NaturFoto, Grasduinen en Wildlife Magazine. Hij heeft diverse prestigieuze internationale fotoprijzen gewonnen. Zo won hij de eerste prijs in de categorie mens & natuur bij de Europese Natuurfotograaf van het jaar wedstrijd GDT, 2002 . In 2005 won hij de eerste prijs bij de BBC Wildlife Photographer of the year wedstrijd in the categorie Diergedrag met een oer-Hollandse foto van parende padden. Zijn stijl van fotografie wordt algemeen erkend als vernieuwend waarbij hij veel gebruik maakt van onscherpte en sfeer. Hij gebruikt zijn ecologische en fotografische kennis om columns, artikelen en boeken te schrijven. Ook maakt hij audio-visuele presentaties en films onder meer voor bezoekerscentra.

Frank & Gerard Nature Photography

Welkom op de natuurfotografie website van Frank en Gerard Jordan ! Middels deze website hopen wij uw interesse te kunnen wekken voor ons fotomateriaal en - veel belangrijker - voor natuurfotografie en natuur in het algemeen. Wij zijn beiden in de 60-er jaren geboren in Schiedam, een stad waar toen al weinig ruimte was voor de natuur. Gelukkig namen onze ouders ons regelmatig mee de Nederlandse natuur in. We gingen vaak op vakantie naar de Veluwe, De Utrechtse Heuvelrug, de Achterhoek en Zeeland en ontwikkelden daar een warm hart voor de natuur. Ook tijdens onze vooral lagere- schoolperiode gingen we regelmatig de natuur in, paddestoelen excursies in het Kralingse Bos jawel !! , in het voorjaar naar Oostvoorne, excursies met de Jeugd Natuurclub etc. Een camera ging altijd mee..en we hebben zelfs enige tijd op school een doka gehad waar we samen met een leraar en een paar andere leerlingen onze foto s afdrukten. Toen we eenmaal onze opleiding hadden afgerond en gingen werken, waren we regelmatig in de natuur te vinden. Maar de nadruk lag toen enige tijd op sportief bezig zijn in de natuur. We hebben allebei veel gefietst in de Pyrenee n, de Franse Alpen, Itali en ter voorbereiding van deze vakanties brachten we een groot deel van onze vrije tijd door op de racefiets. Weinig tijd voor de camera dus... Eind jaren 90 kwam de ommekeer..We liepen ergens in 1997, op een markt in onze woonplaats Dordrecht, te praten dat we eigenlijk weer eens wat meer met fotografie wilden gaan doen...
