Jay Wesler - Fine Art Black and White Landscape Photography

Jay Wesler is a fine art photographer who specializes in western landscape and nostalgic cityscape imagery. His photography has been represented in several fine art publications and galleries. Many of the photographs follow a minimalist style, with high contrast printing and zone system shades of gray. Images include scenic landscape photography with photographs from Montana, Illinois, Utah, Wyoming, National Parks, and the western United States. The environment resonates with emotions and familiar substance. Catching specific moments of time then interpreting these moments for my viewer has profound meaning in an effort to further explore the human soul and how we sustain our natural element. The main topic of my photography is mood. Searching for the right subject to convey the sense of a scene will take many passes, often reoccurring on weather changes or a particular seasonal feature. With the right techniques and thoughtful pre-visualization the photograph reflects the emanation of a strong subject. The progression of my work will focus on the underlying will of adventure we all possess. Finding a motif which engages attention and presents distinct quality will be my pursuit. Whether it is landscape or street subjects, these scenes will always be documented and provided with soulful interpretation.
