Welcome to Vah s photography web site featuring fine art landscape photographs of Armenia, Nagorno-Karabakh Artsakh , and Yosemite National Park, plus travel photography from France, Spain, New Zealand, and St. Petersburg, Russia. Vah has traveled to Armenia in 1980, 1981, 1990, 2003 twice , 2004, 2005 twice , and in 2006 twice . He has also traveled to Nagorno-Karabakh Artsakh in 2003, 2004, and 2006. Nagorno-Karabakh is featured in one color and one black-and-white gallery. Space scientist by profession, Vahé Peroomian has taken every opportunity to pursue his fascination with photography and the beauty of the Gaian landscape. He is self-trained, and prefers the hands-on approach and independent experimentation with photographic styles and techniques. He has found that the same off-the-wall approach that works in solving physics problems helps see landscapes in a new light as well. The self-similar shapes he sees in landscapes, and the play between cloud and landscape, are a manifestation of this viewpoint.The Armenian landscapes presented here are evidence of his attempt during seven visits to his homeland between June 2003 and August 2006 to achieve that goal and to capture in this art form his love for Armenia and the sense of belonging that draws him back over and over again.Yosemite...
