Born in Nelson, New Zealand, Phillip became interested in photography at a very early age and would often commandeer the camera on family day treks. Never satisfied with simple snapshots he was always looking for an image with a difference, testing everybody s patience in the process! Later, from his base in Indonesia, Phillip travelled throughout North and South-East Asia and Australia with a 35mm camera, but it was his visit to New Zealand in 2001 that convinced Phillip to move back to Nelson to pursue his passion of landscape photography. Wanting to produce images comparable to the natural view of the human eye Phillip chose to work with a specialist panoramic format camera. His ability to capture the heart of the land he photographs is beautifully portrayed in his images. I am always amazed at how much God has packed into this small country.
