John Davies

John Davies photographs the urban and rural environment: fine art documentary landscape images from the UK Ireland Italy France The Netherlands and Switzerland. The British Landscape exhibition is on show at Vu la Galerie in Paris until 19 January 2008 - with additional earlier vintage photographs from the British Isles. This is the largest collection of B&W photographs shown by John Davies in a single exhibition. The British Landscape exhibition has been short listed for the Deutsche Börse Photography Prize 2008 and a selection of large prints will be on display at the Photographers Gallery in London from 7 February 2008. The book of this work, published by Chris Boot, explores the changes that have shaped our multi-layered and post-industrial landscape. This documentary work was made between 1979 - 2005. Vintage and modern prints are available from the Michael Hoppen Gallery, London and Galerie Vu, Paris.
