Roger Blake a fine art photographer captures the mood spirit and essence of his subjects. I have had a life-long passion for art. I took whatever art courses I could find in high school and at Middlebury College in Vermont. I later studied Painting and Design at the Academy of Art College in San Francisco. I have sold paintings in my own studio galleries in California and New Mexico. Past lives include military experience as a Naval Radar Intercept Officer flying F-4B Phantom jets in Vietnam and Flight Test Officer flying A-6 Intruders at Pt. Mugu, California. My longest career after the military was in commercial real estate as a broker and finally real estate acquisition supervisor for the US Government. There were occasional breaks from real estate to try surviving as a jeep tour and taxi cab driver, waiter, bartender, inn keeper, inventor, gallery owner, and as always an artist. Another of my strong urges has been to see every corner of this beautiful land. In 1997, I climbed in a big rig and became an over-the-road truck driver. What better way to see the country and get paid for it than be a truck driver. I lived mostly in trucks between 1997 and 2005, waking up every day in a different place, crisscrossing the country what must be hundreds of times and loving it. There is a rhythm and pace to it that suited me. Around every turn there was a new view and of course, the daily sunrises and sunsets that were not to be missed. Welcome to Oman Fotoland. A site dedicated to display the beauty of an unknown region in the arabian peninsula. Oman, with its renowned history is ironically little known to the outside world. Tourism has recently been given its credit in this country, and this site through its photograhpers tries to demonstrate the nature. and the landscape of this country. Oman and Portugal have a long history, Portugese would never had made it if it was not the Omani sailers that showed the route to India. Oman went under Portuguese occupation for around a century. As I work and live in Portugal, so part of this site is also dedicated to Portugal, and unveils the treasure of what this country has nature, and landscape , and what type of photo opportunities it offers. assoinate about Photography, I started to click in 1981 when I was studying in Egypt at American University in Cairo. My passion and love to this hobby grew with years. Today I work as a freelancer, and stock photographer, although by profession I am a telecom engineer. My kit is mainly Nikon as my first camera was Nikon F3HP which I still adore and keep in my collections. Recently I worked as an official photographer for miss portugal contest for the year 2003, and 2004; with onlineisland company, now named miss Lusitania. This site is run by moi, Daniel Séguin. I currently live in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. I study in recently completed a graduate program offered at Concordia University in Human Systems Intervention. Since high school, I've been interested in photography. I used to take photos for the yearbook and develop them in our B&W darkroom. After high school, I lost touch with photography. I am happy that it has once again found me.
