This site provides collections of my photography and information about U.S. wildlife, particularly in the Mid-Atlantic region. The site features thousands of images of birds, mammals, herps, insects, plants, and landscapes, and is updated regularly. My name is Bill Hubick, and I am an addicted photographer, naturalist, and conservationist. I live in central Maryland, an area that boasts a surprisingly diverse range of natural areas. From the hills of western Maryland to the Chesapeake Bay and the tidal saltmarshes of the Eastern Shore, there are endless opportunities for photography and nature study. I hope some of the beauty I have seen here and in my travels shines through in the images you see on this site.

Mark Nixon The Portrait Studio

Mark Nixon is an award winning portrait and wedding photographer based in Dublin that boasts an international client list. For someone who bought his first camera in June of 1995, Mark has certainly come a long way fast. In huge demand, both at home and abroad, as a photographer and conference speaker, Mark has had what can only be described as a meteoric rise to the top of the Irish photography scene. Winning numerous photographic awards, both nationally and internationally, including the ultimate title Photographer of the Year both in Ireland and the UK. So far this year Mark has won Best Family Portrait Image in the National Photographic Awards. Born in Belfast, Mark s first love was music. Playing solo as a singer songwriter and with his own bands, both in Ireland and Los Angeles, where he lived for four years, meant never having time to develop the interest he had in photography. On returning to Ireland, and during a particularly bad case of writers block, Mark bought that camera. Starting as a hobby, photography quickly took over everything and became a career. A girl Mark knew who worked in a publishing company, needed photographs for the covers of six new books. After meeting with the publisher, showing him some photographs and with a lot of bluffing, Mark got the job. Positioning the camera, snapping the picture and uploading the images to the Web Site are all automated. The system also calculates Sunrise and Sunset and only takes pictures during daylight hours.

I am Zoe Richards a photographer based in Merseyside, with a studio in Southport, although I travel throughout the UK and Europe. I am a fashion and fine art photographer and have had images in print and featured in e-zines. I have also had an article and images published in the September 2007 Professional Photographer Magazine. I am a qualified licentiate of BIPP British Institute of Professional Photographers and am currently working towards my associateship in April 2008. I have been passionate about photography as art since I was 16. Whilst I trained using film technology working in darkrooms, I have enjoyed the transition to digital, and love the opportunities that working digitally provides me in the creation of my art.
