Maya Patel Art - Maadi, Cairo, Egypt

Born in Zambia of Indian Origin, Maya has studied and lived in England, Wales, Norway and now Egypt. Maya has always been interested in creative pursuits such as Photography and Multi Media. In 2002, Maya s creative direction turned towards art. Maya has drawn inspiration from the natural landscape, still life and flowers of the various countries where she has had the privilege of residing. Although never having lived in India, Indian art and culture have been a wonderful source of artistic creativity and influence in her work. Maya shows what she feels and sees through her work using vibrant, warm and vivid colors, expressing depth and character on paper and canvas. Art has come naturally to Maya who paints primarily in watercolors and oils. She has also done commissioned works. Her work is varied due to the influence of many cultures and her experience of living in different countries. Maya believes art comes from the heart.

Created in 1954 for the exchange of ideas and information relating to the art, techniques, and skills of individuals with a similar interest in photography, our vision is to help anyone with a desire to develop their photographic skills through encouragement, mutual help, and learning opportunities. Our club year runs from September through May. Opportunities to photograph local festivals, flowers, eagles, and other interesting subjects with fellow members of the Peoria Camera Club. Learn from one another and have a little fun too. An annual fall workshop to shoot using studio lighting, setups, and a chance to work with live models. Occasionally, All day training classes are available in ProShowGold, PhotoShop, and other areas of interest.

Silent Valley Ranch was a cattle ranch that has been returned to the wild. We are breeding white rhinoceros and sable antelope. Pictures of Sable Bulls fighting. All animals on Silent Valley Ranch in South Africa are wild and live in their natural habitat. African animal pictures will be changed and new pictures added regularly. There are pictures of many of the antelope found in South Africa as well as pictures of birds, pictures of reptiles, and pictures of trees found on Silent Valley game ranch. The sunset pictures show the beauty of Africa at sunset.

John Kung is a Hong Kong born, Australia raised photographer based in Sydney. He graduated in 2003 with a B.Design(VisComm), majoring in Graphic and Interactive design, and worked for a time as a freelance designer.Itchy feet and a thirst for change took John to Japan, where he lived and worked for two years in Hiroshima, in western Japan. It was here where he rekindled his passion for photography (as a child he was allowed his father's camera and a roll of film on special family outings), it seemed that everywhere you go, in every nook and cranny there was an interesting photographic moment.
