Experience Seminars: UK s No. 1 Photographic Training

Experience Seminars: UK s No. 1 Photographic Training

Our training and work within the imaging industry brings us into contact with many different companies. As we work closely with Canon we have listed a number of different Canon websites, which we think will be of interest to our customers. The Canon UK site has a vast amount of information about the company, its products and its range of services. The canon Museum is great for those interested in the historical side of Canon cameras and can provide hours of interesting browsing. Canon sites for updating software such as printer drivers and firmware on digital cameras are listed for ease of accessing this information. Finally on the Canon sites we have listed the Canon Imagine site, which has a wealth of interesting information for Canon camera users.

Marty Allen, Little Rock, AR

Marty Allen, Little Rock, AR

Marty and Gina Allen are amateur nature photographers and native Arkansans. They currently live in Little Rock with their Maltese Shitzu named Roxy and their calico cat, Puddy Tat. Marty began learning about photography in a serious way with a Beginning Photography class and a borrowed Minolta SLR in college back in the darkroom days . Gina started out with a Kodak Instamatic 110 and a trip to the Grand Canyon in sixth grade with her Girl Scout Troop. Her mom actually noticed an early trend there were no people in her photos, only landscapes and wildlife. Both Marty and Gina come from families with long histories of hunting, fishing and farming. The outdoors; the animals, the plants, the weather and the changing seasons; have always been a vital part of each day. When preparing for a fall trip to Colorado in 1998 they purchased their first SLR, a Canon Elan IIe and a Tamron 28-210mm. Little did they know this would become an exciting hobby that they would enjoy together, was a good excuse to travel all over the states, and would lead to a large network of new friends and challenging opportunities. However, as most photographers know, there is usually a new camera, lens or equipment on the market. This most likely will lead to drooling, begging, and long negotiations with the local camera store for the best price. So for Christmas in 2003 Marty and Gina s gift to each other was a Digital Canon Rebel. The only problem was there was only one camera and two people who wanted to...

Mike Levin s Photo Gallery - California USA

Mike Levin s Photo Gallery - California USA

I am a part-time professional photographer living in the Silicon Valley and photographing subjects in Northern California and throughout the world or wherever I can get away to . When not traveling and taking photos, I am an intellectual property attorney at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. Since September 2004, I am also the father of a beautiful baby girl, so I have turned much of my photographic attention to a new subject. I apologize if this means that updates to my site are less frequent. Most of the images on this site from prior to 2002 were taken with a 35 mm Canon EOS SLR including 28-135 IS, 20-35, 100 macro, 50 1.8, and 70-300 lenses . Polarizing and graduated neutral density filters were used on many of these shots to intensify the colors, cut down on glare, and decrease the contrast between the sky and foreground. Most shots were originally taken on Fuji Velvia or other slow, high resolution slide film. The slides were then scanned with a Nikon Super Coolscan 4000 slide scanner, creating a 20 megapixel original TIFF image. The images were then edited using either Photoshop I m currently using CS2 or my old standby, Micrografx Picture Publisher, and then saved as smaller JPEG versions for use on this site. Since 2002, I have been shooting mostly with digital cameras instead of film. In early 2002, I began using a 4-megapixel Canon Powershot G2. Since April 2003, I have been using a 6.3-megapixel Canon EOS 10D, which works with my old Canon film lenses. I shoot...
